Orbit Health

Your ring. Your data.

The health data from an affordable smart ring, kept on your phone instead of a vendor's server. Sleep, heart and activity, with an assistant that runs on your own device.

Coming

Orbit Secure

Your cameras. Your footage.

Cheap cameras and doorbells usually stream to their maker's servers. Orbit Secure records them to your own space, with alerts that never leave home.

Coming

Orbit Home

Smart home, no cloud.

Plugs, bulbs and switches controlled locally, with no vendor account. They keep working when their cloud, or your internet, goes down.

Coming

Orbit Server

One box you own.

The optional home for the whole family: footage, photos, backups and history, on hardware you control, instead of a subscription for every vendor.

Coming

Orbit Agents

Your own AI, on your hardware.

Agents that can work with your health, home and camera data, under rules you set, running on your own devices first.

Every app a different planet.

WHY ORBIT

Cheap devices,
without their cloud.

Affordable glasses, rings, cameras and plugs are wonderful hardware. Their apps are often the problem: accounts you didn't need, subscriptions for basics, and your data sent to servers you'll never see. Orbit keeps the hardware and drops the rest.

01

Local first

Your data stays on your phone, or on a server you own. Nothing leaves without your say-so.

02

Open source

Every Orbit app is open source, so anyone can check the privacy promise for themselves.

03

No subscriptions

No accounts, no ads, no tracking, no monthly fee for features your hardware already has.

QUESTIONS

Good to know

What are the Orbit Apps?

The Orbit Apps are a family of open-source, local-first apps by Kno2gether Labs. Each one works with affordable smart hardware, such as XR glasses, smart rings, cameras and plugs, while keeping your data on your own devices instead of a vendor's cloud.

What is OrbitWalker?

OrbitWalker is a free, open-source Android app that turns VITURE Pro 2 XR glasses into a multi-monitor desk. It puts up to ten Android apps on their own head-tracked screens and lets you drive them with a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse.

Do I need Samsung DeX or Shizuku for OrbitWalker?

No. OrbitWalker works with DeX turned off and has its own built-in helper, so it is the only app you need. It is set up once through Android's Wireless debugging.

Do Orbit apps send my data to the cloud?

No. Orbit apps are designed to keep your data on your phone or on a server you own. There are no accounts, ads or analytics, and the source code is open so anyone can check.

Are the Orbit Apps free?

Yes. The apps are open source. There are no subscriptions for features your hardware already has.
